With over thirty years in the business of property management Paul Chisholm has an impeccable reputation in the industry. Paul obtained his Masters Degree in Business Administration from York University in 1974 and in 1976 he received his Chartered Accountant designation. In 1980 Paul became a partner in Highmark Properties which was at the time a small Toronto based property management firm. During the period 1980 to 1996 he developed the company into the third largest third party property management firm in Canada with a portfolio in excess of 25,000 residential units under management.

Paul sold his interest in Highmark Properties and started HiStar Property Management Ltd. in 1996 growing it to one of the largest firms in Ontario. In 1998 Greenwin Property Management purchased HiStar Property Management and Paul was made Chief Financial Officer for Greenwin Property Management.

In 2001 Paul received the FRPO (Fair Rental Policy Organization of Ontario) award for Member of the Year.

In the late spring of 2002 Paul left Greenwin Property Management with Paul Melady to form Berkley Property Management Inc. Berkley handles condominium, rental and commercial property management in Southern Ontario from Ottawa to London.

Paul Melady began his property management career while still at York University in 1986. Hired as a seasonal lifeguard by Highmark Properties he was offered part time work at the end of the summer until he finished his Honours Bachelor Degree in 1988. Upon receiving his degree Paul accepted a position with Highmark Properties as a Junior Property Manager.

As Paul’s experience grew his position changed from Junior Property Manager to Property Manager at Highmark Properties. With the inception of HiStar Management in 1996 Paul left Highmark Properties to join with Paul Chisholm as Regional Manager for Southwestern Ontario. When Greenwin Property Management purchased HiStar Management in 1998 Paul accepted the position of Operations Director for Western Canada.

Paul left Greenwin in the spring of 2002 with Paul Chisholm in order to start Berkley Property Management Inc. Experienced in all facets of management Paul has managed commercial, condominium and rental properties. In 2002 Paul received the FRPO (Fair Rental Policy Organization) award for Property Manager of the Year.

At Berkley Property Management we have a small dedicated well trained staff who enjoy their work and working with each other. At our Longbridge office we have accountants, administrators and support staff whom will be happy to assist you with any query that you have. Our Property Managers usually work from different sites within our mandate as we are not a “Head Office” oriented firm. In actual fact our company philosophy is that we are a “Client” oriented firm and that everything works to this end.
